【Tamsui-Kavalan Trails】
One-Day Tour to Discover the Legendary Land (Pingxi Historic Trail)

Highlights:
The Pingxi Historic Trail is located at the intersection of Shuangxi in New Taipei City and Toucheng in Yilan, belonging to the Pingxi section of the Tamsui-Kavalan Trails, which was used a century ago as a logging road. The ancient trail is flat and spacious, surrounded by beautiful Chinese hemlock forests on both sides. Following along the Pingxi Stream, the water is clear and gently flowing, with fish and shrimp leisurely swimming beneath. The lush greenery of the surrounding woods creates a picturesque and tranquil scene, accompanied by the soothing sound of the stream, making it a refreshing and pleasant experience.
There are two river crossings along the way, with the water reaching up to the calves, making it an excellent route for hiking and water activities during the summer. With water shoes or creek shoes, you can return along the Pingxi Stream, enjoying a different kind of pleasure. At the trail’s end, there is an observation and rest area where you can appreciate the breathtaking panoramic view of the sea and sky, including Guishan Island (Turtle Island).
Forking from the trail’s end are two diverging paths. One connects to another branch of the Tamsui-Kavalan Trails, the Xiangliao Historic Trail, leading directly to Wai'ao in Toucheng. Alternatively, you can ascend to the 705-meter-high Mount Taihe, where a small tin temple at the summit offers a 360-degree view of the Pacific Ocean, Guishan Island, the Wushibi Coast, Yingziling, Yanzangshan, and more.
Travel itinerary:
08:00–08:15: Meet at Taipei Main Station.
10:00–13:40: Hiking at Pingxi Historic Trail
(Approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes to 4 hours, including rest and water play time)
14:00–15:00: Lunch at Aunt Ada's Set Menu Cuisine
15:15–16:15: Shifen Waterfall
17:15: Tour dismisses at Taipei Main Station

Important Notes:
1.This itinerary requires a minimum of 6 participants and a maximum of 18 participants. The group must stay as a unit during the tour.
(For 6-7 participants, a 9-seater minivan will be arranged; for 8-18 participants, a 20-seater mid-sized bus will be provided.)
2.Pre-departure notices will be sent 3-7 days before the departure date via Line or email. Please ensure to provide your contact phone number and email when registering.
3.Participants who sign up for the itinerary are deemed to agree to the provisions of the "Domestic Travel Standardized Contract." If you do not agree, please do not register.
4.In case of unfavorable weather conditions such as typhoons, earthquakes, heavy rain, or other uncontrollable factors, the company reserves the right to cancel or postpone the departure, change the itinerary, or provide a full refund.

7.If feeling unwell, please bring personal medications such as motion sickness pills, cold medicine, mosquito repellent, etc.
8.When participating in outdoor activities, it is recommended to wear breathable and comfortable clothing, along with walking shoes that provide good traction. Additionally, prepare a personal backpack for storing personal items, sunscreen, and rain gear.
8-1.The company arranges travel industry liability insurance with the insurance company according to relevant regulations, providing NT$5 million in travel industry liability accidental insurance and NT$200,000 in accidental medical insurance. (Typically, the industry standard is NT$2 million in liability insurance and NT$100,000 in accidental medical insurance.)
8-2.Travel industry liability insurance: According to regulations, individuals under 14 years old or above 70 years old can be insured up to a maximum of NT$2 million plus NT$200,000.
9.If any included items in the tour fee are not utilized by participants, it will be considered as waived, and no additional refund will be provided.
10.Please gather on time during the designated meeting times. If a participant leaves the group or fails to assemble due to personal reasons during the itinerary, the company will not provide a refund.
